London is in the grip of a wine bar revolution. And there's a huge new one on the way. Humble Grape opened its first wine bar and shop in Battersea last year and now they're planning a second one - this time on Fleet Street.
They'll be taking over a huge space on St Bride’s Passage, just off Fleet Street which, fittingly, used to be The Press House Wine Bar, once a famous drinking den for journalists. It all sounds very convivial, being tucked away in the

- 67 Pall Mall is a new St James club for oenophiles
Opening today on Pall Mall is a new private members club devoted to wine. But despite its St James location, the club's aim is to focus on offering fine wine to its members without costing them an arm and a leg. The idea came from founder Grant Ashton deciding he was "fed up of being mugged by punitive London mark-ups on fine wine."
The club's Master Sommelier is Ronan Sayburn who counts Cafe du Vin, Gordon Ramsay Holdings and the Dorchester Collection

There's a new wine list at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and it aims to light a small fire under the way in which wine is sold and enjoyed in top restaurants.

So while we were excited to bring you news of the opening of Escocesa on Stoke Newington Church Street a week or so ago, seems we'd completely missed another new opening from recent weeks, Rubedo.

There's always room in Hot Dinners' lives for some crazy pop-up shenanigans in the run up to Christmas and B.I.B sounds right up our street. This Dalston spot will be taking over Brunswick East coffee in Dalston from 6pm every Wednesday to Saturday this November. And the B.I.B? Well that stands for Bag in Box. Yes this is a natural wine box pop-up. It couldn't be more East London if it tried.
