- The World's 50 Best 2017 51-100 is revealed
Yes, it's nearly that time again. The new World's 50 Best list is revealed next week - and that means we get a sneak peak today with the reveal of 51-100.
What does it mean for London on the list... well there's very little change. Lyles goes up (from 65 to 54), Hedone down (from 60 to 98) and St John doesn't move at all. So it's the very definition of "no surprises". Hopefully, there'll be more to see in the top 50 when the full list is revealed

As we're more than aware of here at Hot Dinners, we're spoiled for choice by the massive range of quality restaurants London has to offer. It's something that The Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants judging panel has noticed as well, and this year the capital is a delighted home to 37 of the best restaurants in the country. It's quite a change from 2012, when only two made the list.

Pierre Koffmann - The Araki leads the way at the 2016 Harden's Awards
We're well into restaurant awards season at the moment and the latest to be revealed are those from the Harden's guide. Held at the Hippodrome Casino, The Araki topped the list as "Top Gastronomic Experience" while awards went to Black Axe Mangal, Guinea Grill, Hoppers and more. The full list went like this:

The Good Food Guide have announced the top UK restaurants and winners of their annual awards with sixteen of London’s top restaurants making it into the Top 50 of the 2017 guide. While top spot went to Chef Simon Rogan’s restaurant L’Enclume, London’s eateries were well represented.

And so another World's 50 Best has been and gone. This year's list was announced last night in New York where the great and the good of the restaurant world gathered to hear who the risers and fallers were. And for Massimo Bottura it was the news he was waiting for as he finally nabbed the top slot from last year's winner El Celler de Can Roca.
