- Zoom East Sicilian kitchen comes to Whitechapel
The relatively new Hyatt Place London City East hotel (it opened mid-2021) has just opened its main restaurant. Called Zoom East, it's billed as a Sicilian Kitchen & Bar with Sicilian chef Vittorio Meli in charge of the menu (he was previously at Polpo Soho).
On the menu will be:
- Arancini with Carnaroli saffron rice, peas & bechamel
- Sarde
- Café Spice Namaste launches fund as it prepares to leave its Whitechapel home of 25 years
It's a sad way to mark an anniversary. But, as Cyrus and Pervin Todiwala prepared to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Café Spice Namaste, they also had to contend with the fact that they were losing the restaurant's East London home.
