- Sub Cult pops-up with bagel-brioche subs in Finsbury Avenue Square
Sub Cult is bringing their deli-style sub rolls to Finsbury Avenue Square’s pop-up shipping containers for 18 months.
You may have seen Sub Cult around the likes of Maltby Street, Leather Lane, and Brockley Market, serving up their bagel-brioche sub rolls out of their big monochrome van. Now City workers will be able to get a taste at breakfast and lunch, including subs like:
- ‘Skandi Sub’ – oak smoked salmon, peppered cream
- Test Driving The Ned - 24 hours in London's hottest new hotel
There are 9 restaurants and bars at The Ned, ranging from the members-only Vault bar in the basement to the huge ground floor food hall and up to the members' bar and restaurant by the pool on the roof. We were on a mission to try as many of them as possible during an overnight stay.
- Baba G’s Bhangra Burgers long-term pop-up in Finsbury Avenue Square
Bhangra Burger's lamb jalfrezi burger and chicken tikka burger comes to the city, plus the new addition of the mercilessly hot double naga burger, for diehard chilli fans.
- Sky Garden launches sunrise breakfast tours
If you've been wondering how to pep up your breakfast (and, frankly, who among us haven't?) we have a suggestion. How about brekkie 35 storeys high as the sun rises over London?
That's the new offering at Sky Garden. Book a sunrise tour and you'll get a chance to roam around the indoor gardens with a guide and then finish up with breakfast as the sun comes up over the City.

- Kaleidoscope bar brings 200 rare whiskies to Liverpool Street
The Whisky Society opens its first non-member bar in Liverpool Street, where 200 rare single malts will be on offer to the public alongside other liquors, cocktails and more, with food provided by upstairs neighbour Mac & Wild.
- Darbaar launches Lotus, a new bar in The City featuring Indian-inspired drinks
Another new bar is heading for the City as the people behind Darbaar are set to open a new bar called Lotus. This was previously part of the restaurant itself and now it'll have a menu of spice-infused spirits and Indian twists on classics. Chef-patron Abdul Yaseen has also created a fresh menu of Royal-inspired dishes to accompany all the new booze.

The Gherkin's new pop-up for the summer will be Searcy’s Seaside in the Sky, who'll be serving upmarket versions of classic British food for six weeks.
