- Sushi Shop's 2018 chef sign-up is Anne-Sophie Pic
The next chef collaboration for Sushi Shop has just been announced and it's a big one. Launching in January, the new menu has been created with Anne-Sophie Pic, the only female French chef to have three Michelin stars.
It's the latest in a line of high profile signing of chefs for the sushi chain. Last year they brought in Michelin star chef Kei Kobayashi from Paris.
In the new menu, you can expect delights like fresh goat’s cheese, matcha green tea and bergamot California or a yellow tail,

... - Joe Allen celebrates its 40th year by serving burgers in the open
Covent Garden institution Joe Allen is celebrating its 40th year of serving hungry Theatreland punters with a special Birthday menu, which will feature a burger for the first time ever. Yes, they've had a burger before (rated as one of the best in town) but it's the infamous secret burger that you had to know to order.
It's been one of London's worst kept secrets, mind, and now they've decided to

- The Pate en Croute at Holborn Dining Room: anatomy of a dish
We've seen a lot of Christmas specials hitting London restaurants (much of which have made it onto our festive roundup page). But if we had to choose a winner, and for the purposes of this piece we are, it's got to be the amazing Crimbo Pate en Croute devised by Head Chef Calum Franklin at Holborn Dining Rooms.
Calum has
... - Hawksmoor have a new bar snack - The steak slice
Let's hope you've eaten before you cast your eyes on this wondrous-looking item. This, my friends, is their Steak Slice - a meat pasty that knocks the original pastry item that inspired it into a distant cocked hat.
It's available at all Hawksmoor bars, but only for the month of November. To buy one costs £20 and it consists of a 200g 35-day-aged rare-breed ribeye, slow-braised with red
... - Knightsbridge's Hyde Bar launches a luxe burger and whisky menu
Not to be outdone by London's, how shall we put it, more casual burger establishments, The Hyde Bar at The Park Tower Knightsbridge has joined the fray with a new range of luxe burgers.

... - Gelupo launch a Michelin gelato range with Roux, Koffmann and more
We're pretty partial to a scoop or two of Gelupo ice-cream so we're quite taken with their latest wheeze. To tie in with the launch of the new Michelin guide they've come up with a special collaboration - seven gelato collaborations with seven Michelin-starred chefs. Each flavour ties in with the kind of dishes you'd find at their restaurants. And they are:
- ‘Dr Henderson’ (an unusual blend of Fernet-Branca and crème de menthe) from Fergus
- The huge Oklava Sunday Feast headlines their own kebabs
We do like the sound of the new Sunday special at Shoreditch's Oklava. Chef Selin Kiazim is putting on a, frankly huge, feast that is rounded off by some special kebabs. Apparently, the Kebab, or ‘kebap’, is something that Selin always did with her family on Sundays. And its inspiration is drawn directly from childhood holidays in Cyprus, where her family would all get round the table and enjoy this spread, which
