• Flavourtown Bakery is coming to Parsons Green, and they’re bringing rainbow cake

  The lucky, sweet-loving souls of SW6 are being treated to the award-winning Flavourtown Bakery’s first ever shop. It’ll be open from 7.30am with coffee and pastries, but really you’ll be wanting to load up on their fudgey brownies, gorgeous cupcakes and more.

• Yamagoya brings their ramen and raindrop cake to The Cut with their first permanent venue

  After a successful pop-up on Shaftsbury Avenue, and the cake that launched 1,000 Instagrams, Yamagoya is back for good, bringing ramen-shaped joy into the hearts and bellies of Londoners on The Cut (near Waterloo).

  The people behind the Palomar and The Barbary have opened a coffee shop with some pretty bad-ass cakes on offer. We pop down for a look. 

• Get a taste of Butterscotch ahead of its White City opening in Old Street Station

  

  The next stall to pop up in Old Street Station’s busy concourse will be Butterscotch, a new bakery serving American layer cakes, cookies and more, run by Bea Vo, formerly of Bea’s of Bloomsbury.

  It’ll be the bakery’s first debut in London ahead of its official opening in White City where it’ll find a more permanent home

• Will Torrent is bringing his cakes to The Tea Room at Harrods

  

  Got a sweet tooth? Then put this in your diary. Award-winning patisserie chef Will Torrent, who has worked with everyone from Heston to Jamie, is popping up at Harrods. It's all tied in with the publication of his new book, Afternoon Tea at Home. So you can try two of the cakes from his books in The Tea Room at Harrods. The Passionfruit and Chocolate “Jaffa Cake” and the Mango, Lime and Coconut Mille Feuille will be on the menu for £9.95 each.
