• Red Hand in Dalston has some compelling cheese toasties you'll want to try

  

  Here at Hot Dinners, we're particularly partial to a good cheese toastie, so news of a whole bunch of them hitting a menu in East London certainly got our attention.

  Red Hand opened earlier this year on Stoke Newington High Street - the bar serves craft beer and cocktails on tap, focuses on natural wines and small batch spirits.

  East London chicken wing fans are in for a treat as the US giant Wingstop picks Dalston's Kingsland High Street for its second location in London.

• Allpress launches Allpress Lates with Max's Sandwich Shop, Snackbar, Rochelle Canteen and more

  

  This year, Allpress Espresso is 30 years old and they're teaming up with some impressive restaurants and chefs to celebrate. • The Dusty Knuckle Bakery are putting on Pizza Nights this summer

  

  Over in Dalston, the folks at bakers Dusty Knuckle have had a busy old week. Three days they said goodbye to their old bread oven, installed a new one, plus they've spent this month making their own wood fired oven.

  What all that means to you is the return of Dusty Knuckle's Pizza Nights. So, every Friday and Saturday evening this summer they'll be serving up their own pizzas along with dough balls, green salads, olives and carafes of wine and prosecco along

  Freddie Janssen and chef Anais van Manen are bringing their vision to fruition by opening a cafe right next to Dalston Junction station.

• Secret Samosa Club are back with bangers 'n mash samosas

   

  Earlier this year, Canadian Rick Matharu's Secret Samosa Club popped up in Borough with their cheeseburger samosa and now he's back with another new creation for their latest pop-up (and for a much longer run) in Dalston. And yes, he's converted the British institution bangers 'n mash into a samosa.

  Tom Oldroyd's Dalston pub is well known for its excellent crab and chip butty - but they're about to raise their game further.   A hidden hot chocolate salon is coming to Dalston this month called Rosine’s Hot Chocolate Salon. It's all to kick off Fairtrade Fortnight and it's named after cocoa farmer from the Ivory Coast.
