35 Heddon Street, London W1B 4BR
Run by the double act of chef Nieves Barragán and GM Josè Etura, Sabor is the kind of restaurant everyone wants to try, and once they've been are immediately plotting a return visit. It's a restaurant of two halves with the Asador on the upper level and counter dining by the open kitchen on the ground floor. Obviously, you're going to want the croquetas, but everything else will be great as well.
19 Motcomb St, London SW1X 8LB
Part of the reworking of the Pantechnicon building included getting rid of their retail operation and replacing it with this gorgeous-looking Provencal restaurant with an ex-Annabel’s and Arts Club chef in the kitchen. Dishes plunder the Mediterranean coast for inspiration but the must-have dish is the crab toast with tomato and caviar.
5 Savile Row, London W1S 3PB
This is Jason Atherton's flagship restaurant on Savile Row, where he’s hoping for Michelin recognition. Chef Spencer Metzer (ex-The Ritz) is the man in the kitchen making the magic happen - expect culinary fireworks across a multi-course tasting menu.
43 Curzon Street, London W1J 7UF
Pinna comes from the same restaurant group as Wild Tavern, and it's that restaurant's chef, Achille Pinna, who's in charge of this Mayfair Sardininian restaurant. He's in charge of an Italian menu that takes its cues from his own heritage, which they have described as "Sardinia on a plate".
Unit 2, 57 Pimlico Road, London SW1W 8NE
This restaurant and wine bar is a team-up between ex-Elystan Street chef Aaron Potter and interior stylist, Laura Hart. In charge of the food side of things, Aaron is focusing on a Mediterranean-influenced menu while Lauran manages front of house and a wine bar that's notably good value for the area. It's all in a beautiful setting too.
