Set to take Clapham’s pub scene by storm, The Ox is a brand-new gastropub opening on Monday 14 October, offering a modern and elevated British menu, peppered with Asian accents.
Previously The Saxon, The Ox on Clapham High Street has undergone a stunning head-to-toe makeover, blending original features with contemporary furnishings, and featuring a main bar, snug, mezzanine restaurant, rooftop terrace, and private events space.
Spotlighting seasonal ingredients alongside sustainably and ethically sourced beef from the pub’s own farm and dry-aged on site, enjoy farm to fork dishes including fillet of Scottish Luing beef with smoked eel, potato terrine and salt baked celeriac. Other must-tries include the Japanese smashed burger with bone marrow mayo and dipping jus; and bar snacks such as the ox cheek toastie. Enjoy alongside a creative and classic drinks – think craft beers, carefully considered wines and cocktails like Lynchburg Lemonade with bourbon, triple sec, lemon juice and lemonade.
