Sotto Cucina & Bar will launch at Hyatt Place London City East in Whitechapel, London on 14 May 2024; a contemporary Sicilian kitchen and bar led by executive chef Alfio Laudani.
At Sotto Cucina & Bar guests will experience the charm of Sicilian trattorias, with interiors combining rustic elegance with sustainable art. A menu of contemporary takes on Sicilian dishes with a focus on quality British ingredients marries the influence of Alfio’s food-centred upbringing in Sicily with his experience cooking in top London restaurants.
Aperitivo dishes range from a traditional Caponata to a vegan Saffron Arancini. Indulgent regional pasta dishes include Alfio’s signature baked pasta dish; Timballo alla Norma. Main courses include typical Sicilian dishes such as the Branzino alla Ghiotta. An aperitivo-inspired cocktail list is perfect for exploring pre-dinner on the restaurant’s alfresco terrazza while a wine list of carefully selected Italian wines completes the Sicilian dining experience.
