Camino, one of London’s best loved Spanish tapas bar and restaurant groups has just opened in Victoria’s Zig Zag Building.
Start your visit with a twist on the classic aperitivo, Agua de Valencia, on the year-round street-level terrace or in the ground floor bar before moving upstairs to the restaurant where the menu features signature charcoal grills, classic tapas and seasonal dishes. Highlights include Basque-style baked crab with grilled sourdough, Talos de Chorizo (taco-style mini tortillas) and Gambas al ajilo.
To celebrate the Victoria launch, executive group chef Nacho del Campo has sourced premium Cazurra beef from Spain’s north-west renowned for exceptional tenderness, which he is serving as Rib-eye on the bone to share. Another Victoria-only special is Arroz alla llauna, a Catalan rice dish from Tarragona, cooked in a square tin pan for a crispy base with Secreto Ibérico, artichokes, cuttlefish and cep mushrooms.
To accompany the food, there is an extensive Spanish wine list with several special vintages available only at the new Victoria site.
