There's a new Nobu Terrace?
Well, not new exactly, but the whole Nobu Hotel London Portman Square is new-ish and this summer they've got a brand new collaboration with Laurent-Perrier on their terrace. Essentially it's a Champagne pairing menu and it read well enough to entice us down to try it.
Where is it?
The terrace is on the corner of Gloucester Place and Upper Berkeley Street at the top northwest corner of Portman Square. The nearest tube would be Marble Arch, but judging by the regular fleet of executive limos arriving at the hotel, that isn't how most of the clientele get here.
Who's this good for?
Bouji business lunchers and foot-weary shoppers.
So what's the collaboration exactly?
Tying in with the launch this year of Laurent Perrier's latest release - their Grand Siècle Iteration N° 25 - it sees the chefs here pairing some of Nobu’s signature dishes with a variety of iconic Laurent-Perrier cuvées. It's mainly a la carte. But, if you're dining with a group, there's also the option to kick off with a Nobu Signature Sharing platter of sushi and nigiri.
Here's what we had:
