Holborn Dining Room chefs team up with Drings Greenwich raising funds for the NHS

Over the past few weeks, we've been blown away by the many, many efforts from those in the hard hit restaurant community to help others. So we're not remotely surpr…

They may not be back completely, but Smokestak will be returning every Saturday for the next few weeks and they're doing it in style. After a trial run last Saturday, they'll be back every week with a menu that sees them going back to basics with old-school barbecue action.

Here's what's on the menu. The first four meats are by the 100g and we want all of it, frankly.

Updated 23/4/20 with more branches

During Lockdown, the KFC Twitter account has been busy encouraging devotees to have a go at their own homemade fried chicken (look for the #ratemykfc hashtag). Presumably, this is to help people get over the fact that all of the KFC restaurants were closed.

But now, there's a glimmer of hope for anyone desperate to get hold of a bucket. Slowly, but surely, some…

Nando's are back in London! Four restaurants across the capital start delivering

This is not a drill. Nando's are starting to reopen their restaurants.

Last night, Nando's revealed to a customer that they had quietly reopened seven restaurants in the UK and Ireland - four of them in London.

Having initially opened to "support the NHS and local charities" - they have so far delivered over 10,000 meals to those - the restaurant chain was using that to see how they could safely…

Over the past year and a bit, the Big Mamma restaurants Gloria and Circolo Poplare have become huge hits in London. Cornerstone is selling its salmon pastrami and trout ham

This weekend, Hackney restaurant Cornerstone had its second birthday. But as they're currently closed for business, it was a bit of a quiet affair, marked only with a post on Instagram by chef and owner Tom Brown.

While the restaurant itself is closed, clearly Tom wants to keep busy so he's been making his 'sea-cuturie' cured salmon and trout available for pick up from his restaurant. The salmon…

He's already serving a delivery menu at Orasay in Notting Hill, and now Jackson Boxer has also kicked off delivery across the river at Brunswick House in Vauxhall.

Another much-appreciated local bakery-cafe has reopened for business. This time it's the turn of Rye by the Water in Brentford, which is backed by The Dairy's Robin Gill and Dan Joines. Back in the bakery is head baker Janine Edwards and she's currently baking croissants, pain au chocolates, olive and gruyere bread twists and - of course - sourdough bread.
