Chef Anthony Falco, previously of Roberta's ‘best pizza in New York’ fame, is about to make a temporary jump across the pond to visit all three branches of Yard Sale as part of the London pizzeria's ongoing series of collaborations. He'll be putting three of his special pizzas on the menu. First up, there’s The Falco, with grated parmesan, chili flakes, garlic, basil, red onion and pork sausage. Next there’ll be The Wolf with speck ham, mozzarella, oregano, mushroom and sliced red onions. And there’s also one more pizza yet to be designed, which will happen after Anthony has arrived.
Roberta’s has gained a considerable amount of attention in recent times as “one of the more extraordinary restaurants in the United States” according to the New York Times, with light, crispy pizzas that function as “a stunning New York-Neapolitan hybrid” with creative toppings like kale and honey.
Aside from the pizza, the Yard Sale collaboration will also consist a few special events to make the most of the chef’s visit, including be a ticketed pizza masterclass that finishes up with a ‘Yard Party’ in Walthamstow.
