West End workers looking for something different to kickstart their day should take note of the new Wahaca opening on Great Portland Street this week.
On the menu will be no less than three varieties of Mexican Baked Eggs (pictured here); with a choice of roast tomato and chipotle, tomatillo crème fraiche or refried beans with chargrilled British chorizo (all priced at £6).
Other dishes will include:
Huevos Rancheros Divorciados (£6) - fried eggs on top of blue corn tortillas with both roast tomato and green tomatillo salsaBreakfast Baps stuffed with a choice of Smoked salmon with tomatillo crème fraiche and avocado or Bacon and a fried egg with a chipotle ketchup (£6)
And if you're after something slightly lighter there's also granola, porridge and the interesting sounding Wahaca’s Avocado Smoothie (£2.95) made with apples, agave and creamy avocado.
Wahaca Great Portland Street opens at 26–28 Great Portland Street, London W1W 8QT on 11 September 2014. The breakfast menu will be served from 7:30am on weekdays and 9am on weekends. It'll also be available at their Charlotte Street branch from 8.30-11.30am (Mon-Fri) and 9am-2pm at the weekends.
