For anyone who's ever tried in vain to get a table at Islington's Trullo restaurant at short notice, we bring tidings of great joy. The restaurant is about to start opening for lunch on Fridays.
Hot Dinners bumped into Trullo's head chef Tim Siadatan in town on Wednesday night where he was highly commended in the Young Chef category at the Observer Food Monthly awards. He told us that they'd decided to test the waters to see what sort of demand there was for lunchtime bookings during the week by opening first on Fridays. If that proves popular, they'll extend the days they're open for lunch.
Trullo opens for its first Friday lunch next week on 21 October - so run like the wind folks. This could be your best chance to get a booking for some time.
