One of the highlights of last year's London Restaurant Festival was 10-10-10, when chefs from outside London paired with London's best all over town. It was an ideal opportunity for those who fear venturing beyond the M25 to experience food from some of the UK's best (look at our photo gallery here).
This year, the festival is revamping the format - keeping things centred at Fortnum and Mason. Over 13 days, a host of top chefs will take over the restaurant with specially prepared menus for lunch and dinner. So you'll have the opportunity to try food from the following:
- 3rd October - Sat Bains from Restaurant Sat Bains - Nottingham
- 4th October - Philip Britten formerly of The Capital Hotel and Solstice Ltd
- 5th, 6th October - Shaun Hill from The Walnut Tree – Abergavenny, Wales
- 7th, 8th October - Nigel Haworth from Northcote Manor - Lancashire
- 9th October - Adam Simmonds from Danesfield House – Marlow, Buckinghamshire (read our test drive here)
- 10th, 11th October - Nathan Outlaw from St Enodoc Hotel – Rock, Cornwall
- 12th, 13th October - Sue & Roger Jones from The Harrow at Little Bedwyn – Marlborough, Wiltshire
- 14th, 15th October - Daniel Galmiche from The Vineyard at Stockcross – Newbury, Berkshire
- 16th October - Brian Turner from Turner’s Restaurant - Bognor Regis
The chefs will not only be in the kitchen creating the food, but you'll get the chance to meet them when they mingle with the diners.
With the three course lunch for only £33.00 (£27 for two courses) and a three course dinner for £53.00 we think this is definitely an event to check out. To book, just call Fortnums at 0845 602 5694 or email restaurants@fortnumandmason.co.uk
