25/5/16 - updated with soft launch info
It's all about Hawaiian poke at the moment, as another poke bar is coming to London - the Tombo, Poké & Matcha Bar, heading to Soho.
To get you up to speed, poké is being described as something like sushi in a bowl - not completely dissimilar to ceviche but with different flavours. So the bar will have a range of poke; marinated raw fish "imbued with fresh and exotic flavours of the pacific". They'll be made of salmon, tuna, prawn, kimchee, avocado and edamame served over sushi rice, courgette noodles or black & white rice - and you can customise them just how you want.
They'll also have some signature bowls like Classic Tuna Poké, Salmon Avo Lux and their unique Matcha Miso Tofu (starting from £5.95). The bar will also offer side salads such as Hijki Black Seaweed and root vegetable as well as Miso soup.
It's all part of a Japanese cafe being launched by Tombo, who also have a cafe in Kensington and are tea specialists. So expect to see lots of their teas on offer too, as well as Tombo Matcha Lattes, and Matcha brownies, cakes, sundaes and Matcha Soft Serve.
Tombo, Poké and Matcha Bar will open at 28 D'Arblay St, Soho, London W1F 8EW on 6 June. There will be a soft launch from 6-12 June with 50% off food from 13-19 June. Sign up to their newsletter for the offer. For more, follow them on Twitter @tombo_london
