You've got to hand it to Fortnum & Mason; the Piccadilly store has scored a tremendous coup in getting the Queen to make a rare public appearance with her granddaughter-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge, whilst taking tea under their roof.
We hear that Her Majesty will be in Piccadilly on 1 March 2012 with both her daughter-in-law, Camilla and Kate to try out the department store's newer restaurants. They'll then be unveiling a plaque commemorating efforts to renovate the Piccadilly Circus neighborhood.
"This will be one of the greatest days in the history of the company and we could not be more delighted," said a spokesperson from the store.
Will the royal trio be scoffing a cheese and tomato toastie or Knickerbocker Glory in the Parlour restaurant, which is currently running a Jubilee tea in conjunction with the Cecil Beaton exhibition at the V&A? Everyone's lips are sealed.
