[Updated 21 November 2011] We now hear that Hawksmoor will be there on opening night serving up bourbon and burgers with Four Roses, Shakey Pete's Ginger Brew, Bloody Bull shots with Hangar One and made-to-order mini doughnuts from Hawksmoor Guildhall with a selection of jams.
Could London's street market food scene be any hotter?
Fresh from Metro's Marina O'Loughlin singing the praises of Eat St at King's Cross, the latest it that the team behind the Dalston Roof Park are getting together with chef Nuno Mendez from Viajante and the Loft Project to launch a new night-time market in Dalston.
The Long Table night market will be at Abbot Street, Dalston E8 every Friday night 6pm-12am from 25 November until Christmas. An enticing list of stallholders includes Hawksmoor with a "signature dish" (hopefully a Hawksmoor burger!), Moro with some tapas, The Bowler's meatballs, Yum Bun with their steamed buns and Big Apple Hot Dogs will be there too. The market's tweetfeed is promising 'Doughnuts, Bahn Mi, Steamed Buns, Mulled Wine, Beers, Wine and sparkling, Jerk Chicken, Pizzas, Takoyaki, Tapas and more.'
