The Ape and Bird launches curry nights with a line-up of special guests

The Ape and Bird launches curry nights with a line-up of big special guestsAs Russell Norman helps to open a pub in the Cotswolds on TV, it's worth remembering that he had a pretty successful pub launch himself late in 2013, with the launch of The Ape & Bird on Shaftesbury Avenue.

Now The Ape & Bird is gearing up for some special events, the first of which are Ruby Tuesdays - monthly curry nights with some special guests taking over. They'll be starting on Tuesday 11 February with Hardeep Singh Kohli who will be bringing pork belly vindaloo, curried cauliflower, chutneys and flatbreads to the table.

And there's a pretty impressive line-up planned for the rest of the year with Gizzi Erskine (Sunday Times columnist), Neil Rankin (Smokehouse), Ben Mulock and Jamie Thickett (Salt Yard Group), Carl Clarke (Disco Bistro & Rock Lobsta), Stevie Parle (Dock Kitchen) , Jane Baxter (Food writer and chef), Tom Parker Bowles (Food writer and restaurant critic), Sophie Michell (Pont St at The Belgraves hotel), Jack Stein (The Seafood Restaurant) and Andrew Clarke & Jackson Boxer (Rita’s Bar & Dining). all planned in upcoming Ruby Tuesdays.

Each curry night will cost £14 per person for curry and sides and will be available in the pub from 6pm – 11pm. To book a table call The Ape & Bird pub on 020 7836 3119. Find out more about The Ape & Bird.
