Tables are turned as critics head for the kitchen with Too Many Critics

Tables are turned as critics head for the kitchen with Too Many CriticsEvery year, one of Action Against Hunger's most anticipated events is Too Many Critics, where some of the UK's top restaurant critics and food writers take on cooking duties for a night.

This time, the team taking over Coq D'Argent this Sunday evening will be led by Charles Campion, Bill Knott, Tom Parker Bowles, Tracey MacLeod, Joe Warwick, Lucas Hollweg and Jay Rayner. They'll be under the watchful eye of the restaurants head chef Michael Weiss and will be judged by guests who include Dinner's Ashley Palmer Watts, Clare Smyth, Atul Kochhar, Vivek Singh, Daniel Doherty, Francesco Mazzei and more.

It'll be a fun evening (if last year's is anything to go by) and there's still a chance to snap up the few remaining tickets. They're £120 each - and all the proceeds go to Action Against Hunger. This gets you the meal - with a Champagne reception from Tattinger, plus wines from Bibendum and beer from Sambrook's brewery. As well as screens showing diners what's happening in the kitchen, Jay Rayner will be keeping diners entertained with his Jazz Trio. There will also be an auction of some top foodie prizes.

Too Many Critics is on Sunday June 9 at Coq D'Argent at 1 Poultry, London EC2R 8EJ. Tickets are available now on the Action Against Hunger website.
