Stuff We Liked - Scarfe cards, Irish fish and chocolate, salted caramel doughnuts and more...

It's time again for another round of Stuff We Liked - a general round up of the things we've been talking about on TwitterInstagram, facebook and more. This week there's doughnuts for bonfire night, Nigella Christmas books, a quick visit to Ireland and loads more...

As the winter night draw in, a pile of warm doughnuts with salted caramel sauce from You Doughnut up at the Ally Pally Fireworks display does just the trick...

It just opened last week, but we have to say we love the invite to the official launch of Lobster Kitchen - a fortune teller miracle lobster...

With Halloween over, the Christmas season is truly upon us - so a good time to check out the new-look edition of one of Nigella's classics. We swear by her Festive Ham, easily the best roasted ham recipe we've used and a MUST for Christmas.

Halloween's done so very happy to get this new edition of Nigella Christmas to pore over.

This week, a short trip back to Hot Dinners' home in Ireland meant that we had a chance to pop down to our local restaurant (and recipient of numerous seafood awards) O'Gradys for some excellent fish - including this:

And it also meant that, alongside a truckload of Tayto, we also had the chance to try these new chocolates from designer Helen James's Considered range we found at Dunnes Stores - the vanilla and cinder toffee chocolate was excellent - worth seeking out if you're headed over there anytime soon.

And we had a chance for one last drink at Dromoland Castle before leaving. Which was great, but we won't be complaining about London prices for a while...

This week we also had a wonderful meal at Zoilo - which was to kick off a series of guest chef residencies. Their first was with the boys from Sweden's much-vauted Bhoga restaurant. You can read all about it here and find out how to book the next one.

And finally, Scarfe's Bar at the Rosewood has been one of our favourite bars in London since it opened and they now do a great set of Gerald Scarfe playing cards too...
