It's time again for another round of Stuff We Liked - a general round up of the things we've been talking about on Twitter, Instagram, facebook and more. This week was a great chance for us to get stuck into some Christmas goodies, among other things...
Teapigs celebrated their eighth birthday by giving away a lot of free cuppas around town. But they also sent us in a cake and some of their lovely biodegradable tea temples.
Our Christmas specials article has proven very popular this week and we capped that off by being sent the full Christmas works from Eat. We were most impressed by the Christmas bloomer (best Christmas sandwich - SO FAR - this year (we'll be trying many more). The full works hot pot - which is like a full Christmas dinner in a pot is recommended too.
Following the Christmas Specials piece, we’ve now been sent the entire @eat_news Christmas offering. <pats tummy> pic.twitter.com/MnZpdV3uU4

Chef Luke Mackay's Brompton Food Market sent over a selection of their mince pies. The traditional ones were very, very good, but it was the rare breed mutton and London porter mince pies that were good enough to completely convert one of us who's usually not a big fan of these Christmas treats.
And our final Christmas preview this week was of Le Pain Quotidien's mince pies...

We took in a quick visit to the new Dishoom in King's Cross which looks incredible inside. Remember that the soft launch lasts another few days, so get down there asap for a great bargain.
The Colony Bar and Grill has become one of those very handy to know bars - a few steps from Oxford Street with a great value wine list too. We popped in for an Omelette Arnold Bennett (which came in for some big love from AA Gill in the Sunday Times this week). We rather fancied trying the shrimp po boy too, but that was just taken off the menu. Hopefully to return soon...
This week we also made a whirlwind day trip to Paris. Alas, there was no time to take in any restaurants but we did have the chance to stop by the mighty Le Grand Epicerie, a food hall like no other that even has a huge section devoted just to water. Hopefully we'll see something like this in London when Eataly arrives.
