It's happy days for Kentish Town residents as Soho House reveals plans to open two restaurants on the site of the former Grand Union. The story was first picked up last week local blog The Kentish Towner which spotted a planning notice on the building.
Hot Dinners hotfooted it over there just now to see what's up and we can see that the site has been completely gutted. The notice says that it's going to be a 12 week refurbishment which they started in late April. And a representative for Soho House said tdday that the opening looks to be late August.
The sign also shows that the huge space on two floors will host not one but two restaurants - one of which will be Pizza East and the second - as Hardens are reporting - will be a new restaurant called Chicken Shop.
