It may be getting a little chillier out there, but that hasn't stopped a new rooftop market opening near London Bridge today. Taking up residency in the Skyroom, which Bonnie On Sky and the London Picnic Club called their home during the summer, event organisers Platterform are starting a long-term residency with SkyMarket.
The market will contain a kitchen, bar, deli, art & craft gallery and performance space. There's going to be a team of chefs on hand knocking out a worldwide menu using ingredients sourced from nearby Borough Market and Maltby Street. And every Tuesday, this menu will be used in a cooking class. The deli will feature exclusive items from local sustainable food producers and growers, as well as their own range of home-made products so you can recreate SkyMarket dishes at home.;
There will also be a SkyMarket Deli which will include special events and tastings, a Skymarket bar with a drinks list that will change as often as the menu and which will also offer drinks masterclasses and various live performances throughout the week.
The SkyMarket will be open from Monday - Saturday from 12-10pm (till 5pm on Mondays) at The Skyroom, 5th Floor, Magdalen House, 148 Tooley Street, London SE1 2TU
