SHORYU go will offer takeout ramen on Air Street

shoryutogoHoping to take advantage of London's seemingly bottomless desire for ramen, the growth of the Shoryu chain continues. Having opened their second location in Denman St last summer, they're now opening just around the corner in Air Street. But their new restaurant SHORYU go will be a tiny spot focusing mainly on the takeout market.

The space (which used to be the Umai sushi bar) promises Londoners their first dedicated tonkotsu ramen to go bar. There'll be room for just five people to sit down and watch chefs in the open ramen kitchen while they wait.

So will ramen to go be a hit? Apparently SHORYU go has developed some sort of unique preparation technique and dedicated packaging to ensure that the ramen's going to be high quality even if it's for takeaway. If you like the other Shoryu ventures, the menu here will be familiar with a selection of Hakata tonkotsu including Piri Piri Tonkotsu, Tonkotsu Curry and their signature Shoryu Ganso Tonkotsu version. There'll also be hirata buns, gyoza and sushi boxes.

SHORYU go will open in March 2014 at 19 Air Street W1B 5AG
