Salut European restaurant opens on Islington's Essex Road

Salut European restaurant opens on Islington's Essex Road

Here's another new opening that went under the radar just before Christmas (thanks to Stephanie Colburn for the heads up). It's called Salut, billed as a "Modern European Restaurant in Islington"  but also as " a fusion between Nordic and French with some German influence". It's opened on Essex Road (taking the space of what used to be 3 Course).

Run by two German brothers who have a fair bit of fine dining experience under their belt, we have to say, their menu looks pretty good, including:

  • Mussels with Broccoli Espuma and Pea Shoot Salad - £7.90
  • Paddock Farm 45 Days Dry Aged Short Horn Beef Steak (9oz) with glazed Kale and La Ratte Potatoes - £19.20
  • Pan Fried Filet of Rainbow Trout with our Grandma's Pomeranian Fish Potatoes - £12.80
  • Poached Pear with marinated Berries, Nut and Chocolate shavings - £6.20

Salut is open now at 412 Essex Road, London, N1 3PJ. For more on Salut, follow them on Twitter @Salut_London
