London's top chefs to cook for Redhook's Cornish Grill lunchclub

redhook If your idea of a perfect Sunday lunch starts with someone else making it for you, then you'll probably like the idea behind The Cornish Grill, a new lunchclub lauching at Redhook in Farringdon this coming Sunday.

It's the brainchild of South-Western food supplier Matt Chatfield who launched The Cornish Grill pop-up restaurant at the Manor House Pub in Clapham this summer, serving up some of the best fish and meat sourced close to his home in Cornwall, including Red Ruby beef from his family's own farm.

Matt has teamed up with Redhook owner Jonathan Downey to invite some of London’s best chefs to cook their favourite Sunday lunch on the last Sunday of every month. 'Last year I asked Stephen Williams, the then Head Chef of The Harwood Arms, how he would cook his favourite roast,' Matt explains. 'His passionate and detailed response led me to realise that top chefs love cooking roasts.'

They're certainly starting with a bang - enticing two chefs Matt and Jonny from Gordon Ramsay's Royal Hospital Road. 'They’re coming in on their day off from three Michelin stardom to prepare a delicious lunch using only the finest Cornish produce including Landrends Farm 35 day aged roast Red Ruby sirloin.'

Tickets are £40 per person for three courses and there is a wine matching option on the day for £20 and more. The ticket includes a Grey Goose cocktail and sittings are on the hour from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. Book tickets for the Cornish Grill here or go to www.cornishgrill.co.uk
