caprice2Here's a round-up of some events, openings, special menus and more that you'll have to look forward to over September.


Le Caprice reopens

Having closed during August for refurbishment, the revived Caprice is reopening 1st September just in time for its 30th anniversary. 

To celebrate, anyone born in 1981 will get a free glass of champagne with their meal during September. The restaurant will also be introducing a Heritage cocktail list, featuring all-time signature cocktail drinks and a new anniversary cocktail called the St James.

Bea's of Bloombsbury launches speakeasy event

As summer draws to a close, Bea's at St Paul's One New Change is launching a monthly speakeasy event. In true speakeasy fashion, the Lychee Martinis, Gin Fizzes and Pimms cocktails on offer will be served in Bea's best china, so passers-by will have no idea that you're downing cocktails. They'll be offered alongside Mojito Macaroons, Gin & Tonic Jellies and a range of bar snacks. 

£10 gets you a cocktail and a sweet treat and the first event is on 30 September from 7-10pm.  If you're interested in popping along, RSVP to beth@beasofbloomsbury

Feast nights at Whitechapel Gallery

The Whitechapel Gallery Dining Room, now under a consultancy by Angela Hartnett, launches the first of its monthly feast nights on 14 September. Groups of 6 or more, for £30 a head can enjoy a feast based around a different theme every month. The first feast offers charcuterie, sardines and as a main course a whole roast Goosnargh chicken with truffle chips. For more information, visit the website.

Club Gascon launches 13th birthday one-day-only anniversary menu

On 13 September, Club Gascon in Smithfields will be dialing back the clock and relaunching the first ever Gascon menu from 1998. All the dishes wil be available from £3 to £8 and will feature a number of dishes like Duck foie gras mi-cuit with piquillos or old-fashioned cassoulet Toulousain.

Bar Boulud introduces afternoon and late night menu

A favourite of Hot Dinners since it opened, Bar Boulud London has just launched a new afternoon tea and late night menu. For tea you can get a variety of sandwiches, pastries and warm madelines - as well as taking your pick of the a la carte menu. Also now available is the late night menu, available until 11.45pm for those of you who fancy that late night snack.

Urban Art night in Kensal Green
