Now this is interesting. Ultra luxe hotel group Rosewood have just announced they’re opening a hotel in London – and the restaurant promises to be something quite spectacular.
They’re pouring £85m (recession – what recession?) into a the former Chancery Court Hotel, which last time we looked, was pretty swanky anyway.
Rosewood – who also own the Carlyle in New York – say that Rosewood London will have 262 guestrooms and 44 suites.
The restaurant you may remember was formerly Pearl with Jun Tanaka in place as chef. It’ll now be redesigned by Martin Brudnizki whose name you may remember from his work on 34 and Scott’s for Caprice Holdings as well as Dean Street Townhouse and Hix Soho. He’s adding an outdoors terrace to the restaurant as well as working on the bar there.
There's no word yet on who the chef will be - but we'll let you know the moment we hear anything.
Rosewood London will open on 15 October 2013.
