We've been spotting the odd tweet over the last few days indicating that Delaunay, the new restaurant from Wolseley creators Jeremy King and Chris Corbin has quietly started serving up to family and friends. Now it's official. The restaurant will open its doors on Monday 5 December and reservations are now open.
To get a table at what's going to be the hottest restaurant in town, for at least a week before something else equally impressive opens, you'll need to be quick off the mark. The reservations number is 020 7499 8558 or you can email reservations@thedelaunay.com
Taking a quick look at the all-day dining menu, there's plenty on there to satisfy both London's richer and bargain-hunting diners from the £9 weiner to the Fruits de mer platter with lobster at £42 per person. It could also prove useful to local office workers with a takeaway section The Counter with its own entrance on the Aldwych, serving freshly-made Viennoiserie and patisserie, chicken noodle soup, frankfurters, open sandwiches and salads. We imagine it'll fast become as popular a place for breakfast as The Wolseley and the weekend brunch menu with omelette Arnold Bennett and black and white pudding with fried duck egg also sounds worth a go.
