Quo Vadis opens for Sunday lunch with a pudding-focused menu

lunchquo

Here's a date for your diaries. From Sunday 5th October Quo Vadis will be opening for lunch on Sundays.

They'll be putting on a full a la carte menu, with some additional Sunday dishes. But the real focus will be puddings - that's the almond tart pictured above. We hear, from chef Jeremy Lee that it's "been made otherworldy". And if that's not temptation enough, he's thrown down a challenge with the first customer on Sunday 5th October who can identify all the characters on the new Pudding Menu winning a prize. What that prize will be we can't tell you. As Jeremy explains “we have not decided yet but [it] will be really good.”

To help you along, we've had a sneak preview of some of those puddings, so expect to see the likes of:

  • Fig & almond tart
  • Caramelised pear, almond & ginger tart, served with custard & Jersey cream
  • Steamed sloe & damson pudding with custard
  • Walnut meringue with apples, plums & ice cream

"We have been looking forward to opening QV for Sunday lunch for the longest time and doing so, as autumn settles in, seems the perfect time for lunch in a lovely room in a marvellous old pile like QV," Jeremy told Hot Dinners. "Just seems like a great thing, not to mention the right thing, to do."

Lunch at Quo Vadis kicks off on Sunday 5 October 2014 and runs from 1pm-3.30pm.
