Camden Town is getting itself a BBQ joint. Porky's - an all-American smokehouse – will open on Chalk Farm Road in mid May. The people behind it are husband and wife team Joy and Simon Brigg who also own Fogg's on the same part of the road.
They're buying in their smokers from America and inted to serve up the "richest, most delicious flavours of Memphis, Tennessee."
The menu is still being finalised, but dishes are expected to include dry rub Memphis-style beef ribs, 16-hour-smoked pulled pork, traditional spiced catfish and whole smoked BBQ chicken. And takeaway is planned for the future too.
