Poppy's Place family restaurant opening on Fulham's Munster Road

poppylogoA new generation of restaurateurs is hitting the London scene, having been brought up in the trade. We already know about Sophie and Rose Gordon who are opening up Villiers a few doors down from their family's Gordon's Wine Bar. Next month a similar family expansion is happening in West London where Poppy's Place is being opened in Fulham by Scarlet Guess whose family run the trad St James’ spot Rowley’s on Jermyn Street.

By day Poppy’s Place will be a cafe serving up seasonal breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes like hash browns and hot smoked salmon with horseradish. In the evening it'll turn into a candlelit neighbourhood restaurant with a menu focusing on steak. Chef Alastair Prichard already runs a catering company in the area and is sourcing his meat direct from Lake District farmers. The evening menu will be a combo of small plates, daily specials and steaks which will be served with salads, homemade condiments and unlimited chips.

Poppy’s Place will open on Monday 3 March 2014 at 255 Munster Road, London, SW6 6BW. Reservations are available at 020 7920 6420. For updates follow them on Twitter @Poppy'sPlaceSW6
