Poilâne, the renowned French Artisan bakery, which already has a shop open on Elisabeth Street is to open its first London restaurant on Cadogan Gardens in Chelsea.
The all-day dining restaurant will, as you might expect, feature bread from its nearby shop and its unique feature will be the eating bar. From there, you'll be able to order tartines and more and watch as the restaurant's chefs prepare them for you. You'll also have the opportunity to take home bread and pastries from the bar.
In a move which mightily pleases Hot Dinners, the restaurant will have free wi-fi in a room which offers plenty of natural light from a huge skylight. It'll also have a lounge area in front of an open fire if you want to curl up with a pastry as the nights draw in.
Poilâne Cuisine de Bar opens on Cadogan Gardens in October 2011.
