They've been doing a storming trade out of their street hatch in Soho, but now Pleasant Lady Jian Bing Trading Stall are bringing their Chinese snackage to Spitalfields. They'll be opening a stall in The Kitchens at Old Spitalfields Market.
If you haven't made it down yet to the original Soho hatch in the wall, what you've been missing out on are crispy skin crepes, stuffed with savoury fillings - including aromatic Iberico Char Siu Pork, Cumin Spiced Lamb or Grilled Miso Chicken. They're then folded and wrapped and designed to be eaten on the go which, as founder Z He explains, makes them perfect market fodder; "the best way to browse the market stalls will be to grab a jian bing and go for a wander."
Another reason to go on launch day is that they'll be selling their signature jian bing for just £1 (usually £6) all day.
