30/10/14 - updated with opening date.
The folk behind Clerkenwell pub the Blacksmith and Toffeemaker, Matt Rix and Marc Dalla-Riva, are branching out northwards with a new place on Stoke Newington Church Street on the site of the former White Rabbit Cocktail Club.
One Two Five Church Street is being billed as a cafe bar and event space. By day it'll serve up coffee and cake but in the evening it "will turn into more of a boozy drinking den".
On the menu will be American-style sandwiches - so expect things like Grilled Cheese and El Cubano sandwiches (pictured). The drinks list will focus on craft beer from London, Europe and America with six beers on draught and around 30 bottled beers as well as some spirits and wine.
The downstairs events space has room for 100 people - they're intending it for things like comedy, theatre etc in the week and DJs at the weekend. And it's got a 25 ft south facing, private garden.
One Two Five Church Street opens at 125 Stoke Newington Church Street, London N16 0UH in on 10th November. They'll be having an opening offer too - a free gourmet doughnut with every coffee from 10 - 21st November, 2 - 4.30pm weekdays.
