With pop-ups literally popping up all over the shop in London, it's sometimes hard to work out which are the ones you really shouldn't miss. One this week in Shoreditch - Nine French Place certainly looks as though it fits that bill.
The chefs are Daniel Morgan, who's worked at Maze and The Square, oh and done a nice line in catering with Heston Blumenthal as well as cooking for the Queen at Buckingham Palace. His partner in this venture is Aussie chef Magnus Reid whose background is via places like Hackney Pearl, Dalston Superstore and A Little of What you Fancy and who is soon to open a restaurant and coffee bar in the area (more on that here).
The pop-up runs from Thursday 2 February to Sunday 5 February 2012 in a four story converted warehouse in Shoreditch. Cocktails and canapés will be served every evening at 7pm in the downstairs bar, before being seated on the 25 person banqueting table for dinner. To whet your appetite, the cocktail will be 12 year old Tequila, homemade Appletise, ginger, crushed sea fennel and beer beads and dishes range from roast shallot infused yogurt bubble and black garlic leather and Anatomical Pig, Compressed Apple, Pork Quaver and Crispy Shrimp (there's also a veggie option).
Tickets cost £50 per head for a welcoming cocktail and five courses. To book email ninefrenchplace@gmail.com with your name, phone number and date you wish to attend or go to http://ninefrenchplace.tumblr.com/ for more information.
