With a new expansion, da Polpo, annouced this week, that's not all from the Russell Norman empire. Next week, Polpo's Eno Club run by Wine Chap returns with more dates running up until October. There's also another date for the Not Your Usual Curry Night at Trishna on 22nd May, also run by Wine Chap. Hot Dinners have been to both and would highly recommend them. You can find out more details in the Events Section, or read our reviews of Eno Club and Not Your Usual Curry Night.
Another foodie favourite, the Clove Club - a private dining club in Dalston, is back on again - from 12 - 14 May. With food from Robbin Holmgren, sous chef at St John Bread and wine and sponsored by Bisol Prosecco, it's definitely one for the diary. It's only £41 per person, with £1 of that going to Children in Need. For more details, visit their website.
Staying with Dalston - if you missed the recent Meateasy in New Cross, keep an eye out for more news on a one-off Meateasy at the Dalston Roof Park on 27th May.
Elsewhere, Jamie Oliver's keeping his team busy over Easter. Barely open 6 months (and always seems to be heaving every time Hot Dinners has passed by) Barbecoa is undergoing a mini refurb over the Easter break and will close on 22nd April. Expect private dining and a new wall of whiskies, with London's biggest selection of Bourbon, when it opens the doors again on the 27th April.
