NYC bites, Mission, burgers and more - stuff we've liked this week

NYC bites, Mission, burgers and more - stuff we've liked this weekOur latest run-down of what we've been up to this week, picking the best from our posts on Twitter and Instagram. This week - a taster of New York, a very fine London burger, MEATbook and more...

Korean chicken bites from NYC

When we landed in New York last week, we had to get something to tide us until Dirty French that evening - and these Korean Chicken Strips from Kyochon, just opposite our hotel, really hit the spot.

Bacon chocolate

We had to grab a bar of this in NYC. Obviously.

The Tower of Charcuterie

Who wouldn't love this huge tower of Charcuterie from newly opened Aldo Sohm wine bar in New York? Keep an eye out for our write up in this week's newsletter. Sign up for free here.

And back to London for burgers

We may not have tried any burgers in NYC, but we made up for it with this excellent burger from Mother Flipper at Kerb in King's Cross.

Books from MEATliquor

Not burgers, but burger related, the MEATliquor Chronicles book looks amazing. And it's stuffed not only with recipes but articles that anyone with an interest in food and restaurants will love. It comes out this week (18 September).

 Cakes from Butterkist

Any attempts at a diet post-NYC were thwarted by this arrival from Lola's cupcakes, who are celebrating 100 years of Butterkist with some special cupcakes available at Lola's all month.

And finally - checking out Mission

We went to Bethnal Green to do a Test Drive of the latest from Sager & Wilde. We were not disappointed, with this grouse terrine among a number of highlights. Look out for the Test Drive in this week's newsletter.
