We were pretty excited last month by the news that superlative fruit and veg folk Natoora had opened a space in Selfridges, but they've gone one step further this week, opening their own standalone shop in Sloane Square. It's the second store for the company (they already have a store in Chiswick and a stall down near Maltby) but it's their first in central London and it sounds impressive.
What is brand-new is the range of dishes-to-go they've developed at the SW1 shop. There'll be breakfast pots, fruit salads and juices, lunch salads, vegetable sides and mains, and herbal infusions - all made on site.
The two floored shop certainly hasn't stinted when it comes to showcasing all that great produce - they've used cooling system similar to those you'd find in cheese shops to keep the fruit fresh. And there are plans to convert the top floor to a space for cooking demonstrations and talks by the chefs and growers Natoora works with.
