Fancy a free pastry cooked by a Michelin-starred chef for breakfast? Thought so. Then head for Old Street coffee house Shoreditch Grind tomorrow morning (Thursday 3 November 2011) where chef Robert Thompson will be taking over the breakfast service.
Thompson, who's normally to be found in the kitchens at The Hambrough, Isle of Wight has come up with an East End-inspired breakfast treat - a Smoky Eel Puff-Pastry with Emmental and Apple. All you have to do to get your mitts on one, is to buy a hot drink.
It's all in aid of the launch of a new website www.greatbritishchefs.com - who'll be at the Grind all day raising money for Action against Hunger.
Shoreditch Grind is at 213 Old Street, London EC1 and open from 7am.
