His restaurant in Modena has twice ranked as No 3 in the World's 50 Best Restaurants List and for one night only, Londoners have a chance to try Massimo Bottura's cooking in London.
Bottura and his team have been invited into The Connaught where Helene Darroze has given over the kitchen to them. They'll be serving up an eight-course menu comprising of the chef's favourite historical dishes from Osteria Francescana.
The event on 10 November is to launch the Michelin-starred chef's new book Never Trust a Skinny Italian Chef. Dishes on the eight course menu include “The crunchy part of the lasagna”, “Beautiful Psychedelic spin-painted veal, not flame grilled" (pictured here) and “Oops I dropped the lemon tart”.
"I am honoured that Hélène Darroze has been so generous to open her kitchens and distinguished restaurant to welcome me to London," he said. "The Connaught has come to feel like my home in London and I could not be more delighted to be cooking there."
“Massimo Bottura at the Connaught” is available for dinner at Hélène Darroze at the Connaught on Monday 10th November only. The tasting menu is £250 per person and includes a welcome glass of Krug champagne, a signed copy of Never Trust a Skinny Italian Chef along with balsamic vinegar and olive oil samples from Bottura’s personal selection. Guests will also be able to choose a wine pairing option at the dinner for £95.
