Opening its doors in South Kensington today is specialist patisserie Maître Choux. The patisserie is the work of top pastry chef Joakim Prat, who first moved to London from Michelin-starred Can Fabes in Barcelona, to be Joël Robuchon's Head Pastry Chef at L'Atelier, before moving on to Mayfair's The Greenhouse.
Joakim's been working for months on Maître Choux’s range of éclairs, choux and chouquettes. There'll be a core range complemented by regularly-changing specials and they'll also be accepting orders for bespoke designs. The patisserie on Harrington Road will have a small number of seats for customers to sit in, and you might want to order a cup of hot chocolate made from a Basque recipe provided by Joakim’s grandmother.
Maître Choux is now open at open at 15 Harrington Road, South Kensington, London, SW7 3ES. Opening hours are 7.30am until 7pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 7pm on Saturday. Keep up with their news on Twitter @maitrechoux
