Lucky Chip takes up residency at Climpsons Arch

Lucky Chip takes up residency at Climpsons ArchThere's more news today of another outdoor summer dining venue near London Fields. Following a swift (and stealthy) period of preparation, Climpsons Arch threw open their doors for the summer last weekend, welcoming Lucky Chip into their continually developing roastery, bar and outdoor restaurant.

Ben from Lucky Chip will be taking control of the kitchen, which has seen a further development, being built inside a converted shipping container. Two newly constructed woodfired ovens have also been installed to take the place of the brick behemoths used by Burnt Enz in the same location last year.

It's still very early days, but the menu is already looking quite developed - and not a burger nor (triple cooked) chip in sight. Early eye-catchers include Roasted Bone Marrow, burnt Onion & Anchovy (£8), Oysters w bloody mary (£2.50 ea) and a chargrilled Lobster, mayo, confit garlic (£15).

With a full alcohol license and fully stocked bar, the space will continue to be a dining and drinking hotspot throughout the summer, the short and focused drinks menu carries a range of (mostly) natural wines, craft beer on draught from Camden Brewery (£4), a choice of five cocktails, and coffee any way you like.

Lucky Chip at Climpsons Arch can be found at Arch 374 Helmsley Place E8 3SB. It's now open Thursday through Sunday as follows - Thursday 5:30-10pm; Friday 5:30-11pm; Saturday 1-11pm; Sunday 1-9pm.
