We may think London's one of the best cities in the world to eat out but it seems TripAdvisor readers don't agree. The review website today announced the winners of its 2013 Travelers' Choice Restaurants awards for fine dining and London doesn't merit a single entry in the top 10 worldwide list. Just one UK restaurant ended up making the grade with Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons coming in seventh place.
The awards have also published a Top 10 list for the UK (topped by Le Manoir) which sees Petrus at No 3, the Ledbury at 7 rated as being "Very good. A bit of Japanese flavors" and Le Gavroche at No 10.
Taking a quick look at the current top 10 restaurants in London, we're a little surprised to see newcomer The Five Fields currently topping London's best restaurant list. Only open since May it currently has 40 five star reviews. Bailey's Fish and Chips in Fulham is at No 5 ahead of Le Gavroche and The Ledbury while Greenwich restaurant Zaibatsu ranks ahead of three Michelin-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.
