London dominates the 2014 Restaurant and Bar Design Awards

design-mainIf you're just as interested in the look of a restaurant or bar as what you're eating and drinking in them, then you'll want to check out the winners for this year's Restaurant and Bar Design Awards.

The event is now in its sixth year and judges sifted through 3000 entries from the UK and 70 other countries. London dominated the result with the following being the city's key winners and the design companies responsible:

  • Fast – Casual: Cornerstone Café, Woolwich (Paul Crofts Studio)

  • London Bar: Topolski (B3 Designers)

  • London Restaurant: Beagle (Fabled Studio)

  • Pub: Tap on the Line, Richmond (Concorde BGW)

  • Restaurant or bar in a heritage building: Christopher’s Bar (De Matos Ryan)

  • Restaurant or bar in a hotel: Ametsa with Arzak Instruction (Ab Rogers Design)

  • Restaurant or bar in a retail space: One Canada Square (David Collins Studio)

  • Restaurant or bar in another space: The Magazine (Zaha Hadid Architects) - pictured.

  • Standalone bar or club: Mr Fogg’s (d_raw)

  • Standalone Restaurant: Whyte and Brown (Blacksheep)

  • Pop Up: Sleep Bar (Nous Design)

  • Lighting scheme: Hutong Shard (Into Lighting & David Yeo)
