The upcoming London Craft Beer Festival over in Bethnal Green this month has a cracking line-up of food to go along with the many, many lovely beers on offer.
A beer-matching supperclub called The ‘Mezzanine’ will feature a menu specially devised to accompany the festival beers with four spectacular dishes including sea bream poached in a citrus nage with yellow courgette ravioli, grapefruit foam and grapefruit granita and cured breast of wood pigeon with blue cheese rarebit, caramelised walnuts and shredded greens to go with pale ales, porters and stout.
Out on the terrace (and let's hope the weather cheers and clears up) are Forza Win and 'CUTS' who'll be firing up their grill to serve Ginger Pig hanger steaks, panzanella and other highlights from their current East London venture CUTS.
There'll also be a chip station serving up British grown, organic, double fried chips with a selectionof beer-inspired sauces and for the sweet-toothed, Gelupo are bringing down four different flavours including a ‘festival special’.
The London Craft Beer Fair, is at Oval Space, 29-32 The Oval, E2 9DT and runs from Friday 16 August to Sunday 18 August with two sessions Friday to Saturday and one on Sunday. Find out more, buy tickets and book the supperclub here. Tickets cost £35 which includes a token for a sample of beer from every stand, but doesn't include any food.
