An already impressive line-up of names due to cook at the London Eye for the 2011 London Restaurant Festival has been boosted by the arrival of two new chefs.
We hear that Hélène Darroze and Francesso Mazzei have joined up with Angela Hartnett, Jason Atherton, Claude Bosi, Pierre Koffmann and Marcus Wareing to make this year's Pop-Up In The Sky a must-have for anyone with the readies to spend.
Unlike last year, when each chef took on the whole Eye for a night, this year the event will take place over four nights. Diners will begin with drinks at The Savoy, then be taken by boat to the Eye where just three capsules will have been transformed into a ten seat restaurant with three of the chefs on the list taking on either a starter, main course or dessert. Afterwards, guests will return back up the river to The Savoy for the night. The price? £15,000 per capsule.

A few other key London Restaurant Festival Events we rather like the sound of:
- Scotch egg trail
- New gastro walking tours - including Soho (starts at The Savoy) and Clerkenwell (starts at Zetter Townhouse)
- American Express cardholders event 'What’s For Lunch' where French British and Asian chefs are challenged to improve some classic British dishes that have been voted for by the public.
